Puri Jagannath

Puri, Odisha - Sea Level

The eastern Dham, home to Lord Jagannath on the Bay of Bengal coast. The Rath Yatra chariot festival draws millions annually. The temple kitchen feeds 10,000+ pilgrims daily.

Rameshwaram

Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu - Sea Level

The southern Dham on Pamban Island. Lord Rama worshipped Shiva here. The temple has India's longest corridor (1,212 m) and 22 sacred theerthams.

Dwarka

Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gujarat - Sea Level

The western Dham and legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna on the Arabian Sea coast. The Dwarkadhish Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The ancient city may lie beneath the sea.

Chota Char Dham - The Himalayan Circuit (Uttarakhand)

Four sacred Himalayan sites Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath - forming India's most spectacular pilgrimage circuit in Uttarakhand.

Yamunotri

Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand - 3,293 m

Source of the Yamuna River and seat of Goddess Yamuna. Accessible via a 6 km trek from Janki Chatti. Pilgrims cook rice and potatoes in the hot springs to offer at the temple.

Gangotri

Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand - 3,048 m

Origin of the sacred Ganges River. The Ganga Glacier (Gaumukh) is 18 km from the temple. One of the most dramatic temple settings in the Himalayas.

Kedarnath

Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand - 3,583 m

Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, surrounded by Kedarnath peak (6,940 m). The ancient stone temple survived the devastating 2013 floods miraculously.

Badrinath

Chamoli, Uttarakhand - 3,133 m

The final and most revered stop, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Flanked by the Nar-Narayan peaks. The Tapt Kund hot springs beside the Alaknanda River are used for sacred dips.
